July is Social Wellness Month, described as nurturing yourself and cultivating healthy relationships among family, friends, and co-workers. Did you know that 43% of Americans say they are more anxious than they were a year ago? Healthy connections will help. Remember, if you're in crisis, contact the 988 Lifeline immediately.

Impact Coalitions

Impact Communities Red Oak

Impact Communities Red Oak

Impact Communities Red Oak is a community coalition of concerned citizens working together to reduce and prevent youth substance use. The coalition meets monthly to develop drug prevention programs that reduce access to alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. The coalition offers parent resources that raise awareness about signs and symptoms of drug use, and about how adults can educate themselves about underage drinking, tobacco use, prescription drug abuse, and other issues facing our youth.

The coalition works through partnerships with local law enforcement, media campaigns, and strategic policy changes that make the community safer.

The Red Oak coalition is a program of Impact Communities whose mission is to ignite communities to work together to protect and strengthen the resiliency of our youth.

Impact Communities

Our Impact Communities coalitions are always looking for new members willing to raise awareness around cohesive drug-free prevention messages while taking positive actions and changing social norms. Whether you're a parent, grandparent, member of law enforcement, the faith community or work in the school district, we need your voice to keep the prevention message alive. Our kids deserve it!
