Mother Teresa said, “I alone can’t change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”

Impact Communities' coalitions showcase what it means to build relationships and mobilize communities in a way that creates many ripples, creating systemic change.

Reanna Liversage, director of community coalitions, explains, "Individual behavior is not only influenced by internal traits and genetics but also by the external environments, including the communities we live in, relationships, cultural norms, beliefs, and attitudes. Impact Communities makes a difference by implementing programs and services that address these layers," she says.

"We provide parent-child bonding activities that address relational.  We provide emotional support services and character building, which address education.  We provide support to frontline workers to reduce burnout and build community resiliency.  We identify the needs of the built environment and seek to mobilize the community to enhance it (public transportation, safe walking spaces, and access to healthy foods). We take a holistic approach so that the communities we interact with can flourish at their full potential."

Impact Communities are in Dallas County and Navarro County.
