Employer Resources

Drug-Free Workplace

Impact Communities is on a mission to to ignite communities to work together to protect and strengthen the resiliency of our youth. We envision young people having a strong belief in themselves, the skills and support to make excellent life choices and the resources and resilience needed to grow into healthy adults. Since 1935, we have provided prevention education to thousands of youth, families and communities in North Texas. Our unique approach helped reduce drug use in one Impact community by more than 40 percent.

Today, with our nation in the grip of the fentanyl crisis, protecting the safety of your workplace and employees is as important as providing prevention education. According to the Centers for Disease Control, there were 100,306 drug overdose deaths in the United States during the 12-month period ending in April 2021, an increase of 28.5% from the 78,056 deaths during the same period the year before. If you think your workplace is untouched by this epidemic of addiction, think again. Abuse of tobacco, alcohol and drugs costs more than $740 billion annually in crime, work productivity and health care-related expenses. Think about how that impacts your company's results, recruitment and retention strategy.

Educating corporations and companies about today's drug climate is more important than ever. We can make is easy for you to safeguard your business and your bottom line.
